Academy Grassroots Program is designed to introduce young girls to the sport of volleyball. We strongly believe that in order to heighten the level of play on Long Island, we need to develop our athletes sooner. As a region we need to catch up to the rest of the country! Currently, most programs do not field teams, promote camps and clinics or instruct athletes before the age of 14. At Academy, our goals are to provide girls as young as seven with a comprehensive overview of each skill, team training and games in mini formats. The program is facilitated by members of the Academy coaching staff, as well as local high school varsity athletes and members of our Academy 18 Elite Team.
